Scenario of your tour

The places of interest you will be touring, among others, will be the Museum in Kota Kinabalu, the Monsopiad Cultural Village in Penampang, the Bajau Water Village in Tuaran, the Kinabalu National Park in Ranau, the wildlife river cruise at Gerama in Beaufort, and Pulau Tiga island via Kuala Penyu.

Your second day tour will be the Kota Kinabalu city tour. It will begin at the Filipino market. At this market, you will have the opportunity to buy some local handicrafts. Next, your tour will proceed to Wisma Tun Datu Mustapha that was formerly known as Sabah Foundation Building and was once housed the state Chief Minister. It has a revolving restaurant and diners can enjoy the view of the sea.

Moving south, the tour will move to Poh Tse Buddhist temple, the second oldest temple in Sabah and then to the State Museum where you can see for yourself the many cultural heritages and history of Sabah. Finally, you will be brought to the State Mosque for you to see the 13 gold plated domes that represent the number of states in Malaysia.

After your Kota Kinabalu city tour, you will be guided for a 20 minutes journey to the Monsopiad Cultural Village. Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed with a local rice wine drink.
Scenario of your tour

After getting to know you, our guide who will meet you at the airport on your arrival day will give you a welcoming and introduction tour of Kota Kinabalu. Later you will be transferred for a check-in to your hotel. This day, you will have ample times of your free own leisure.

On your second day, at 8.30 am you will be picked from your hotel for your 2 hours journey to Kinabalu National Park. If you are in doubt, you don’t have to worry because you will be accompanied by a naturalist. He will be with you during the tour to solve your dilemma about the different species of plants found at the garden. After this trail walks, you will have your lunch. And before you are transferred to Poring Hot Springs, you will be given a chance to watch the 20 minutes audio-visual shows that explained the many rare floras and faunas discovered in Kinabalu park in an air-conditioned room at the exhibition centre.

Later that day, you will be transferred to Poring Hot Springs. During this 1 hour trip, you will be passing through Kundasang, Sabah’s vegetables growing valley, before you can reach Poring Hot Springs. There, if you want to walk on the 41 meters high and 157.6 meters long Treetop Canopy walkway, you will have to hike for 20 minutes in order for you to reach at its site where you can have a bird’s eye view of the rainforest.
After the walk and the hiking, you must take a dip in the outdoor Japanese style bathtub with the sulphuric hot water believed to have medicinal value for your skin or else you will regret not to have tried the bath which you may not experience it again. Your overnight stay will be at the Poring Hot Springs.

From Poring Hot Springs, your journey will continue to Sukau, Sepilok and Sandakan City prior to your transfer back to Kota Kinabalu. This journey will take 4½ hours to reach a village of Sukau that is situated by the Kinabatangan river. Upon arrival, you will be checked-in at Sukau Sri Menanggol cabin. After that you will be guided to a river cruise along the river for you to find out for yourself the many behavior of the elusive odd nose monkey, the Proboscis monkeys. Your day will end with your overnight stay in the village where you will also be served with dinner.

The fourth day of your tour will be the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation centre, the world largest sanctuary. There you can see how the rangers rehabilitate the Orang Utan to return to their habitat. According to the rangers, some of the Orang Utans are rarely seen while others make occasional visits to the centre and at the feeding platform. Watch their naughty acts as they try to snatch each others food. Also watch the scheduled video documentary show at the Sepilok Information building. This 20 minutes video show gives you an insight of the Orang Utan rehabilitation process and its threats to survival. Your overnight stay will be at one of the hotels in Sandakan.

And on your fifth day, it will be your Sandakan city tour. The first spot you have to visit is the Pui Jih Sih temple. It is situated on the hilltop with a commanding view of Sandakan bay, built in 1987. This ornate temple is blazed with red and gold, with writhing dragons and gold Buddha. Then proceed downhill for your lunch. But city tour won’t be completed if you forget to visit the local market or else you will miss to see the local produce such as vegetables, fruits, fish and many others which may not be found in your place. A Few minutes drive is the Sim Sim Water Village. Experience the walk on wooden bridges and see for yourself the houses on stilt that are occupied mostly by the local Chinese and Malays. After that you will have your lunch. When you are done with your lunch, you are on your way for your 5 hours journey back to Kota Kinabalu.
