Scenario of your tour
Your trip to Tuaran will take about 45 minutes drive through countryside houses as well as industrial estate. After reaching Mengkabong water village, you can straight away visit the fisherman’s houses that are built on stilts. Here, you can see for yourself the lives of the greatest seafarers and Sea Bajau people. At the same time, get the experience of walking on the wooden bridge in this village. After this village, you can continue your trip to Tuaran town and visit the daily ‘tamu’ and while there, experience walking on the suspension bridge. A brief stop at the Chinese Temple would be the wisest stop over before visiting the local pottery shop that offers you with varieties of local handicrafts and souvenirs. The choice is yours.
After you complete your visit in Tuaran, you can proceed your journey to Monsopiad Cultural Village. Another 45 minutes drive from Tuaran. Upon arrival, you will be served with a welcome drinks. After that, you can take a seat and relax while you enjoy the cultural dance show performed by the village talented staff. Soon after the cultural dance show, you will be ushered to join a guided tour where you will get a briefing on the ancient history of the long lost warrior named Monsopiad. There you can see for yourself the 42 heads hunting trophies hanging on the roof top of the House of Skull.
