Scenario of your tour
The Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre was set up in 1964 to rehabilitate orphaned baby orang utan. The centre is manage under the administration of the Wildlife Department of Sabah and it is set on 4,300-hectare Kabili-Sepilok Forest Reserve and attracts tourists and researchers alike, giving a great opportunity to witness the orang utan live up close in their natural habitat. The boardwalk in the centre will lead you to a viewing gallery and feeding platform where Orang Utans are fed with fresh milk and bananas twice a day at 10.00am and 3.00pm. Feeding time also attracts the long-tailed macaques to the area for some food.
The Kinabatangan River is located in the eastern part of Sabah, Borneo Malaysia. It is the second longest river in Malaysia, with a length of 560 km from its headwaters in the mountains of southwest Sabah, to its outlet at the Sulu Sea, east of Sandakan. Kinabatangan is well known for its remarkable wildlife and fascinating habitats such as limestone caves at Gomantong hill, dryland dipterocarp forests, riverine forest, freshwater swamp forest, oxbow lakes and salty mangrove swamps near the coast.
Schedule time
Day 1
An early morning flight MH2042 @ 0710 hrs/ AK 6092@ 0705 hrs takes you to the historic town of Sandakan where upon arrival, you are transferred to the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre to witness rehabilitation and rainforest conversation efforts by the state’s wildlife departments. After lunch, depart for 2 Hour drive to Sukau River .Check into the River Lodge and enjoy a leisure afternoon before embarking on a upriver boat ride to appreciate the many species of Borneo Rainforest’s Flora & Fauna. Catch the mischievous Proboscis Monkey’s frolic. Settle down for dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge
Day 2
Wake up to the raucous calls of birds’, insects and animal and greet a crisp, clean morning with a hearty breakfast. En route to Sandakan town, visit the famous bird’s nests caves at Gomantong .Have lunch in Sandakan, then drop of at Sandakan Town or Sandakan Airport for flight (MH2047@1400 hrs / AK6097@1420 hrs) back to Kota Kinabalu and transfer back to Hotel
Or catch a later flight at 1810 hrs/MH3094 after getting acquainted with the historical town of Sandakan.

Important Notes :
Sighting of the Orang Utan is not 100 % guarantee. The main purpose of the centre is to rehabilitee the Orang Utan back to the wild. If you don’t see them during the feeding time meaning that the purpose is successful as they are able to source for their own food in the forest.
A non-refundable deposit in local currency equivalent to 50% of the tour is required on bookings, together the guest personal details. Confirmation of booking (in form of invoice) will be send as receipt of deposit. The balance of payment to be paid not later than 3 weeks prior to the commencing date of the tour.
