Soak in the splendour of nature and its rich views from a different, less travelled route of Mt Kinabalu! Come experience this unique world record climb on the UNESCO World Heritage site with Mountain Torq’s Via Ferrata. Asia’s first, newest and highest mountain climbing adventure experience, Mountain Torq’s Via Ferrata, is thrilling but safe — suited for the adventurous, the fun and the young-at-heart.

Day 1
0630 hrs -- Pick up from hotel in Kota Kinabalu and proceed for 1 1/2 hour drive to Mount Kinabalu, the highest accessible mountain in South East Asia. Upon arrival at Kinabalu National Park, proceed to headquarter and register at the counter with your ID or passport for the climb. Having collected your packed lunch, together with your mountain guide, transfer to Timpohon Gate (Power Station). Start to ascend the mountain and check in at Pendant Hut at 3,200m (6km/4-5hrs climb). 1500hrs, meet your Mt. Torq Trainer for an introduction to Via Ferrata, a special Torq route where a modest trail made for those who wants to experience the thrill of mountain climbing while taking in the spectacular surroundings of Mt. Kinabalu. Mt. Torq is also made for those who do not have any mountain climbing experience but want to develop some confidence before embarking on tougher trails. Then, free & easy. Dinner at Laban Rata Restaurant. Overnight at Pendant Hut (non heated dormitory).

Day 2
0200 hrs -- Start your summit climb to the highest peak of the mountain, Low’s Peak (4,095.2m). Catch the first rays of the sun and the spectacular view of the distant horizon for as far as the eyes can see (weather permitting). Climb down to Panar Laban slab and meet up with your Mt. Trainer for Walk the Torq (Asia’s 1st Via Ferrata) designed climber from 10 years & above. This route takes climbers on Mt Kinabalu’s via ferrata at 3,521m above sea level with opportunities along the way for sightseeing and photo-taking. Descend to Timpohon gate after check out from Pendant Hut and breakfast at Laban Rata restaurant. Successful climbers will be awarded a certificate, if you have conquered the Mt. Kinabalu. Return by scheduled transfer (1600 hrs) to your resort.

Important Notes :
*Sabah Park requires a photocopy of your passport / identity card for registration
*Please be on time. Otherwise you will need to make your own alternative transportation     back to Kota Kinabalu.
*Please note that PENDANT RESTHOUSE has basic accommodation (unheated) please request sleeping bag at Park Registration office. Charges will be at your own account.

By Road
- From Kota Kinabalu, drive 88 km north (1 1/2 hrs) to Kinabalu Park without stopover.

A non-refundable deposit in local currency equivalent to 50% of the tour is required on bookings, together the guest personal details. Confirmation of booking (in form of invoice) will be send as receipt of deposit. The balance of payment to be paid not later than 3 weeks prior to the commencing date of the tour.
